American Panel Corporation (APC) was founded as a spin-off of Avionic Displays Corporation (ADC) in 1998, as the exclusive worldwide provider of ruggedized active matrix liquid crystal display (AMLCD) panels produced by LG.Philips LCD of South Korea.  LG.Philips LCD is the world's largest manufacturer of AMLCD glass.  Their state of the art mass production capabilities create very high quality yields resulting in a consistent, compliant AMLCD product.  In late 2004, through the signing of a LTA with BOE Hydis LCD of South Korea, APC was able to expand our product and technology offerings by bringing high temperature Fringe Field Switching (FFS) AMLCDs to the market.

Located in Alpharetta, Georgia APC has a 43,005 square foot engineering and assembly facility with complete in-house engineering capabilities, robotic surface-mount PCB Assembly, optical lamination, LCD TCP bonding, and final display module assembly capabilities.  This facility has full optical test and environmental stress screening capabilities.  Fully automated photometric harmonization (including gamma and inversion balance) is performed on each ruggedized LCD module.
